Welcome to Our Toddler Program (15 Months to 2 Years Old)

We have 12 little toddlers and 4 Educators within the Wattle Program

In the Wattle Program we recognize that toddlers are at a pivotal stage in their development. Our toddler program is carefully designed to support the growing independence, curiosity, and social skills of children ages 15 months to 2 years old. In a warm, nurturing environment, we help children explore their world, build foundational skills, and create lasting friendships—all while having fun!

This is an age of exploration, and we provide opportunities for toddlers to make choices, practice self-help skills, and develop a sense of autonomy. Whether it’s picking out their own snack or learning to put on their shoes, we encourage toddlers to take the lead in small, achievable ways.

Our activities are designed to engage toddlers through hands-on experiences that foster growth in key areas, including:

Language Development: Through storytelling, songs, and interactive games, we encourage vocabulary building and early communication skills.
Motor Skills: Our classroom features climbing structures, push toys, and activities to help strengthen both fine and gross motor skills.
Socialisation: : Group activities, cooperative games, and guided playtimes support social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and understanding emotions.
Creativity and Imagination: Art, music, and dramatic play activities inspire toddlers to express themselves creatively.

Our program focuses on the following guiding principles:

Fostering Emotional Growth: Toddlers are learning to identify and manage their emotions. We provide a supportive environment where children can express their feelings and develop self-regulation skills.
Promoting Social Skills: Through cooperative play, sharing, and positive role modeling, toddlers learn key social skills like empathy, turn-taking, and cooperation.
Hands-On Exploration: We offer a variety of materials and activities that promote cognitive and physical development, encouraging toddlers to explore, experiment, and problem-solve.
Encouraging Curiosity and Questioning: At this age, toddlers are filled with questions! We respond to their natural curiosity by fostering an inquiry-based approach to learning, where children are encouraged to explore their interests and develop a love for learning.
