Frequently Asked Questions

WCCC is dedicated to providing the highest standard of childcare, ensuring children receive the best care in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Our priority is to create a space where children can play, learn, and grow, all while feeling safe and secure.

We understand how important it is for parents to feel at ease when choosing care for their child, and at WCCC, we make that decision as simple and reassuring as possible.

With a talented and caring team, modern facilities, and exceptional educational programs, we take pride in offering the very best childcare has to offer.

We look forward to welcoming you and your children soon!

Do you have an educational program?

The program offered at the centre is grounded in the Early Years Framework, which is the National Curriculum Guideline for the education and care of children from birth to six years old. All learning experiences are tailored to meet each child’s individual needs and interests.

Staff maintain detailed records of each child’s progress, including observations and examples of their artwork. These records capture the child’s development and learning throughout their time at the centre, and parents are welcome to review them at any time.

Each day, a curriculum summary is provided to families, offering an overview of the children’s activities. Photos are included alongside the daily curriculum records. Our staff are always available to discuss these documents with families and answer any questions.

All staff at Weston Creek Children’s Centre hold recognised qualifications, including a Certificate III, Diploma, or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care. Additionally, some team members are in the process of completing their Certificate III or upgrading their qualifications, with several working towards Diplomas in Early Childhood Education and Care.

In addition, staff are trained in First Aid, Child Protection, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management, and Safe Food Handling. All staff members are also required to have a valid Working with Vulnerable People card.

We provide the children with healthy and nutritious morning and afternoon tea. Families provide children with their lunch.

Changing or increasing your child’s attendance days is dependent on the vacancies the centre has. Please speak to the Centre Managers to arrange these changes.

If the change can not happen immediately you will be offered the next available position. Two weeks notice is required to decrease attendance.

Parents are charged for all days their child is booked into care, regardless of holidays, illness or Public Holiday.

You will be charged a late fee of $40 and then $2 per minute until such time as your child is collected.
