Healthy Eating

We believe in the importance of fostering healthy eating habits among children.

Healthy eating in childcare is essential for promoting the overall well-being and development of young children. Providing balanced meals rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins not only supports physical growth but also fosters cognitive development and better concentration.

Educators play a vital role by modeling positive eating habits and encouraging children to explore a variety of flavours and textures. Additionally, creating a positive mealtime environment helps children develop a healthy relationship with food, teaching them to appreciate nutritious choices while also instilling lifelong habits that can lead to improved health outcomes.

We are a nut-free centre to ensure the safety of children with severe allergies that could lead to anaphylaxis. Additionally, we limit the use of eggs in the nursery and younger toddler programs.

We promote an understanding of healthy foods and what nourishes their growing bodies. Feel free to ask our Educators for nutritious recipes to try cooking with your children.

Children are also encouraged to grow their own vegetables in our kitchen garden and take care of the centre’s chickens.
